-Applicant must have held a position in the housekeeping department and/or laundry for at least 1 year.
Overall Purpose of the Job
-To assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the hotel’s laundry and to assist the housekeeper and assistant housekeeper as directed. To ensure that a courteous and efficient service is provided to guests in line with the Company’s vision, values and fundamentals. To act as relief housekeeper when required. To ensure that assigned laundry personnel are trained in accordance with the Company’s training and development goals.

-The job requires the handling of money and the authorisation to dispense and deposit company funds and is therefore subject to a fraud and credit check.
Occassional Duties
-To carry out any other duties as may be requested by the General Manager.
Education (Formal Qualification Required)
-Grade 10 – 12 (internal candidate) Must have completed chemical, equipment, linen and terry handling, 1st time manager/supervisor courses. Computer literacy is essential particularly with a proficiency in Microsoft Office.
-Grade 12 (external candidate) Must have completed chemical, equipment, linen and terry handling, 1st time manager/supervisor courses. Computer literacy is essential particularly with a proficiency in Microsoft Office.
